Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview:
This position supports the Store Manager in executing store operations, including staffing, inventory management, merchandising, customer service, and safety protocols. It serves as a developmental role for candidates preparing to become Store Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training staff.
• Participate in merchandise staging, stocking, and presentation following company standards.
• Manage inventory functions such as damages, markdowns, and stock levels.
• Ensure product availability by following ordering procedures.
• Lead customer service efforts and act as a role model for company policies.
• Support store opening and closing activities, security, and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store environment.
• Review sales and operational data to identify business trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures.
• Proficiency in basic math and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and safety practices.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to varied situations.
• Preferred bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish).

Experience & Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of retail experience is advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Use of equipment such as scanners, carts, and ladders.
• Fast-paced environment with exposure to outside weather conditions and moderate noise.
• Occasional travel for store visits and deposits.
