Store Manager

The Store Manager oversees all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, select, train, and evaluate employees while ensuring proper staffing levels.
• Lead performance management, conduct evaluations, and address gaps or disciplinary issues.
• Manage store opening and closing, monitor sales, profitability, and expenses through operating statements.
• Order merchandise to meet or exceed stock targets, oversee inventory accuracy, and facilitate merchandise presentation.
• Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and security, ensuring compliance with safety policies and cash handling procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster a positive shopping environment.
• Ensure proper use of tools and equipment, and complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash accurately.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and retail operations.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with recruiting, legal compliance, and store security practices.
• Preferred high school diploma or equivalent and management experience in retail.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical & Work Environment:

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
