Role Summary
The Store Manager oversees the store’s sales efforts, supervises overall operations, and ensures efficiency and profitability. The manager enforces company policies, communicates with the District Sales Manager and Store Support Center, and represents the brand through appearance, attitude, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Drive store sales and meet sales goals.
- Manage store assets and control store operations.
- Direct and oversee store sales efforts; train and mentor associates.
- Maintain knowledge of sales statistics, inventory, and expenses.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to establish and enforce policies, goals, and procedures.
- Direct staff to ensure completion of responsibilities and standards in each department.
- Mentor and cultivate a team of outstanding Sales Associates, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training.
- Recruit, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate personnel; manage payroll and scheduling to meet labor goals.
- Maintain proper security for the store and partner with Asset Protection to prevent theft and reduce shrink.
- Communicate inventory movement to the District Sales Manager and drive inventory goals and strategies.
- Follow marketing and advertising plans; stay aware of customer trends.
- Stay informed about competition, new ideas, and community events to capitalize on opportunities.
- Provide extraordinary customer service as highlighted in the customer service manual.
- Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal control procedures and reporting potential fraud risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
- Experience managing and cultivating a sales team.
- 3–5 years of customer service experience; 3+ years of management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated business acumen.
- Ability to problem solve and juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
Employment Details
Location: Lovejoy, GA
Salary: $20.00 – $23.00 hourly (non‑exempt)
Reports to: District Sales Manager
