Location: Tuscaloosa, AL

Target Base Salary: $70,000–$75,000

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Store Director to lead all aspects of store operations, drive sales performance, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and develop a high-performing team. This individual will be responsible for setting the standard for operational excellence, cultivating a customer-first culture, and ensuring the store consistently exceeds performance expectations while representing the brand with professionalism and authenticity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Performance
  • Drive overall store performance by achieving sales goals and key performance metrics.
  • Analyze business trends and implement strategies to increase revenue, conversion, and customer retention.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance, identifying opportunities for continued growth.
  • Partner with leadership to execute business initiatives and support long-term store success.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing retail team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional customer service.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Build a strong leadership bench and succession pipeline within the store.

Customer Experience & Brand Execution

  • Deliver an elevated, customer-focused shopping experience.
  • Ensure excellence in visual merchandising, store presentation, and brand standards.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador within the local community and cultivate meaningful customer relationships.
  • Create an engaging in-store environment that reflects the company\'s values and culture.

Operations & Inventory Management

  • Oversee all aspects of daily store operations, including scheduling, payroll, and expense management.
  • Partner with merchandising and planning teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and product flow.
  • Ensure operational compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory controls and support loss prevention initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with corporate teams on product launches, marketing initiatives, and operational priorities.
  • Provide feedback from the store to help inform merchandising, product, and customer experience strategies.
  • Support company initiatives while ensuring successful execution at the store level.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of progressive retail leadership experience, including experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record of driving sales, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop others.
  • Excellent business acumen with experience analyzing sales performance and operational metrics.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences within a premium or specialty retail environment.
