Team members have the opportunity to work at the forefront of technology innovation alongside industry leaders and make significant contributions to the field.How You Will Fulfill Your PotentialYou will:Provide day to day operational support of storage and backup environmentsMonitor a ticket queue, alerts, and email to identify and resolve production issuesServe as the initial point of contact for customers seeking support on Pure storage and Rubrik data protection solutionsEfficiently triage incoming support tickets, categorizing and prioritizing based on the severity and the impactMonitor and troubleshoot the disk and tape backup environment to make sure backups complete successfullyManage the configuration of disk and tape backup, including tape labeling, pool management, and schedule managementManaging, configuring, and troubleshooting issues on Pure storage, Brocade switches, escalating/engaging engineering, or vendor as on when necessaryImplement and manage backup and recovery process for critical dataTake ownership of issues and see them through to resolutionProvide client support related to storage and backup environments via email and phone, escalating, as necessaryWork with a global team, taking and providing warm handover to ensure continuity of 24x7 coverageWork with platform vendors to pursue issue resolutionPotential cross training with other platforms: Unix, Windows, DatabaseYou AreIndependent and comfortable in a fast pace and constantly changing environmentAnalytical and have the ability to apply your skills and experience to create client-oriented solutionsPossess excellent communication skills to provide clear and concise support to customersSkillsBasic Qualifications:Currently working within an enterprise-level storage environment, with 5+ years of relevant experienceExperienced in Pure Storage Flash Array block storage products and/or in Rubrik r6000 series data protection productsExperienced in Brocade G series fabric switch productsCompetent in Windows, Linux/UNIX-like operating systemsMonitor pure storage performance and capacity, ensuring optimal operationDiagnose and resolve storage & switch related issues, working closely with vendors, engineering, and other support teams when necessaryImplement data protection mechanism on Rubrik such as snapshots, replication, and backup solutionFamiliar with SRE principles such as user journeys, SLI/SLO, and synthetic probersStrong analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skillsAbility to adapt to new technologiesPreferred Qualifications:Experience in medium to large IT infrastructure across multiple datacentersGood understanding of enterprise level change, incident, and problem management processesGood interpersonal skills and ability to work well on a global teamAbility to work and prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment with a global focusAutomation utilizing scripting languages like bash, Python and/or PerlBeneficial, but not required, experience in block storage (a Consumer Electronics company, Hitachi), file (NetApp, a Consumer Electronics company Unity), and/or backup solutions (Networker, Data Domain)Familiarity with Unix/Linux command line operations and server supportUnderstanding of how to troubleshoot basic Unix/Linux problemsEducation:Bachelor's Degree
