Storage Engineer Isilon / PowerScale (Delmer2024101)

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

1. Manage day-to-day administration and operational support of the storage, backup, and recovery enterprise infrastructure.
2. Manage and support enterprise storage, backup, restore, and archive related activities, metrics, and reporting.
3. Work closely with platform operational support teams to fulfill routine requests, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production backup failures, including SAN fabric zoning and masking, NAS (CIFS/NFS) allocations, and failed backup/restore attempts.
4. Monitor and manage environment.
5. Perform day-to-day operational tasks.
6. Create shares and add nodes to cluster.
7. Work with customer support to schedule code upgrades.
8. Assist with cluster replication and resolve any replication issues.
9. Review and assist with SyncIQ policies.
10. Review vSAN, vCenter, and RP4VM settings and performance reports; recommend changes and start the implementation of approved changes.
11. Review the physical PowerScale installation; recommend changes and start the implementation of approved changes.
12. Develop a weekly and monthly PowerScale maintenance routine; start performing weekly maintenance.
