Location: La Vista, NE 68128

Salary: $60,000 – $79,000 per year + annual performance-based bonus.

Summary

The primary responsibilities for this position involve implementing and maintaining data center backup and storage systems, monitoring performance, and managing software and firmware updates. The role also includes overseeing general data center equipment, ensuring security analysis and audit participation, and supporting related tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain datacenter backup and storage systems.
  • Review platform performance and adjust as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain software and firmware on systems regularly.
  • Manage and maintain backup and storage systems as part of the Data Center Services Team.
  • Work with System Administration and Application Operations teams to validate backups.
  • Perform configuration tuning and root‑cause analysis of outages.
  • Create and update documentation using standardized templates.
  • Ensure systems are reliable, secure, and perform at acceptable levels.
  • Review patches or releases that improve performance or are vendor recommended.
  • Enhance alarms and monitoring for servers and network.
  • Assist in research, development, and deployment of new technologies.
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Coordinate timely hardware and network upgrades.
  • Participate in design, technical review, and implementation of new infrastructure.
  • Assist in developing ongoing security strategy.
  • Handle projects and tasks assigned by manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience with storage systems.
  • 5+ years’ experience with SAN and NAS technologies.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Windows Server operating system.
  • 5+ years’ experience building physical and virtual servers.
  • Experience writing scripts to automate common tasks.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft clustering, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Windows networking.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of virtualization principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • 5+ years experience managing IT systems in a hybrid infrastructure.
  • 5+ years experience with disaster recovery planning, documentation, and implementation.
  • Industry certifications.
