To support a growing insurance technology platform, the full-time or part-time Stop Loss Underwriter will manage complex underwriting exceptions, collaborate with sales teams, and ensure compliance with health insurance regulations while working remotely in the Eastern Time Zone. Key responsibilities Underwrite exceptions and handle complex cases outside regular guidelines Collaborate with sales teams to review decisions and explain terms to clients Ensure compliance with health insurance regulations and conduct audits of underwriting files Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or economics; advanced degree preferred 3-7 years of medical and pharmacy underwriting experience with a strong understanding of risk assessment Experience in large group underwriting preferred Strong analytical, decision-making, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills
