Job Description:

This is a working lead position that actively supports daily dishroom operations while providing guidance and leadership to team members. The incumbent will work alongside staff in the dishroom, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

This position is responsible to lead the Nutrition Steward team when other leadership is not on-site while fulfilling the role of the Nutrition Steward. Resolves immediate issues regarding sanitizing procedures, workflow and rearranging staffing as needed. Escalates to manager as appropriate. This position is responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks to maintain the Culinary Department in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital, Health Department and Joint Commission standards.

Pay Rate: Based on Experience

Shift Details: Full-time (40 hrs/wk)

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (AM shifts: 6:30am to 3:00pm)

Wednesday & Thursday (PM shifts: 2:30pm to 9:30pm

Friday & Saturday (Days Off).

  Minimum of one year of experience working in a high-volume dishroom within a team-oriented environment.

  Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).

  ServSafe certification obtained within 90 days of hire date if not current.

  Demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

  Demonstrated ability to lead and work independently as well as part of a team.

  Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions

  Demonstrate ability to operatehousekeeping equipment and dish machine (preferred)

  Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
