Stevedore General Labors

Complete Logistical Services is currently hiring Stevedore / General Laborers to work at a busy maritime facility in Avondale, LA. This position involves physically demanding general labor and assisting with loading, unloading, and movement of cargo and materials.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo, materials, and equipment
• Assist with vessel and dock operations
• Move and position materials by hand or with basic equipment
• Secure and handle cargo safely
• Assist stevedores and other dock personnel with daily operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and instructions
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous stevedore, dock, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience is a plus
• Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Must be able to follow directions and work well as part of a team
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts and overtime when needed
• Must pass drug screen
• Must have TWIC Card
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts
• Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift, weekends, and overtime as needed
