This is a growth-oriented position for a Sterile Processing Technician within a Level I Trauma Center. The role requires expertise in sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards in sterile processing. This position offers a temporary to permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination processes for surgical instruments.
• Assemble and wrap surgical sets and trays in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Conduct steam sterilization testing and monitoring.
• Utilize High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and Immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) techniques.
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Participate in holiday rotation and rotating weekends as required.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing.
• Experience with sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap processes.
• Previous experience in Level 1 Trauma preferred.
• Certifications: CBSPD and/or HSPA required.
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Schedule

This is a Night 5x8-Hour shift, from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotating weekends and holiday rotations as necessary.
