Sterile Processing SpecialistJoin the Sterile Processing team at UF Health Jacksonville and play a critical role in supporting safe, high-quality patient care within a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center.In this role the Sterile Processing Specialist responsibilities are to maintain instrument tracking system by adding, changing and deleting data to ensure the system information is continuously accurate. Collect and report departmental metrics related to missing instruments, broken instrument, and instrument/scopes out for repair. Maintain par levels for backup instrument and reorders tray implant inventory.
Track instrument utilization and turn over to identify the need for additional purchases. Submit all purchase requisitions related to instruments, and repairs. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external entities, customers, vendors and other parties for the purpose of instrument purchasing coordination and implementation of use.
Coordinate weekly tray and instrument maintenance with contracted services.
