The Step Down Unit RN-Level 2 (Pediatrics) provides professional nursing care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a pediatric setting.

• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

What You'll Do

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente’s policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the health care team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Act as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to new employees and team members.
• Organize work to minimize the use of overtime.
• Participate in problem identification and resolution.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate's Degree (ADN) required

Experience:

• 1-year recent full-time equivalent experience in Pediatrics or completion of a KP acute care Pediatric training program within the last 12 months

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse License in California
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
