The Step Down Unit RN-L2 at Kaiser Permanente provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in leadership and patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment.

What You'll Do
- Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures and applicable laws.
- Serve as a leader of the healthcare team; delegate tasks and demonstrate accountability.
- Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
- Monitor patient progress and revise care plans based on evaluations.
- Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
- Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Act as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to new employees and team members.
- Organize work to minimize the use of overtime and assist in system improvements.
Requirements
Education:
- N/A
Experience:
- 1-year recent experience in an acute care setting or completion of a Kaiser Permanente training program within the last 12 months.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Basic Arrhythmia course required
- Telemetry certified preferred
