Providing on-site technical direction, the full-time Steam Turbine Technical Advisor will maintain and perform mechanical services on Steam Turbine and Generator systems for utility and industrial power plants while working remotely. Key responsibilities Perform mechanical work on Steam Turbines, Generators, and Valves, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and quality standards Plan, coordinate, and execute the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of turbine, valve, and generator components Support pre-outage planning and post-outage closeout by managing documentation and collaborating with team members and customers Required qualifications Technical or university degree, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a Field Services role Minimum of 2 years of experience in the power industry, including maintenance or installation of turbine generators Strong knowledge of Steam Turbine, Valve, and Generator mechanical systems and components Experience in dismantling, inspecting, and reassembling mechanical equipment during outages Proficiency in reading and understanding manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic diagrams
