Does so in a professional manner. Is able to troubleshoot same and facilitate repair in order to maintain space conditions in a timely mannerPerforms preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment without supervisionPerforms routine maintenance on all HVAC equipment. Performs daily inspections of equipment, logs operating conditions and when operating parameters are not within guidelines, seeks resolution and correction.
Documents actions and operating abnormalitiesMaintains comfort levels in facility. Operates equipment within temperature and humidity guidelines set forth by policyOperates and maintains medical gas and vac. systems within guidelinesCleans equipment and work area regularly in order to provide a safe/clean working environmentInteracts with fellow staff in a professional manner. Can communicate effectively, does communicate effectively, shares information with fellow staff freely. Offers suggestions and takes responsibility for all equipment within the facilityMinimum Education RequiredHigh school graduate or equivalentFormal trade school or apprenticeship education or equivalent experience to an associate degree levelMinimum Experience RequiredTwo (2) to three (3) years of experience in order to acquire an advanced knowledge of the Hospital's steam plant equipment and all other machinery within the department's area of responsibility and acquire the mechanical skills necessary to maintain and repair such complex machineryTraining on boilers is desiredLicensed by the City of Chicago as a Stationary EngineerAt Loyola, we know you're more than your job.
