nStatic Equipment Engineer (Simple Version)
nOverview
nTesla is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience designing pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks for industrial facilities. This person will help design equipment, review vendor designs, and ensure all work meets industry codes and standards.
nKey Responsibilities
nDesign and review pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and storage tanks.
nPerform engineering calculations using tools such as PV Elite, Compress, and AMETank.
nConduct or review Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS or similar software.
nReview vendor drawings, calculations, and equipment packages.
nWork closely with process, piping, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
nSupport equipment installation, troubleshooting, and field construction activities.
nVerify designs comply with ASME, API, and other industry standards.
nRequirements
nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
n5+ years of experience designing industrial process equipment.
nExperience with:
nPressure vessels
nHeat exchangers
nStorage tanks
nFEA analysis
nKnowledge of:
nASME Section VIII
nAPI 620/650
nTEMA standards
nExperience with software such as:
nPV Elite
nCompress
nAMETank
nANSYS
nNozzlePro
nPreferred
nPE License.
nExperience with reactor or agitator nozzle design.
nExperience creating engineering standards and design guidelines.
nIdeal Candidate Background
nCandidates from chemical plants, oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, battery, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or EPC engineering firms would be strong fits.
