Statewide Electronic Health Records (EHR) Project Manager – Correctional FacilitiesTalantage is seeking an experienced Statewide EHR Project Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems across correctional healthcare facilities. This role partners closely with correctional health leadership, clinical staff, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of EHR initiatives that improve care quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The Project Manager oversees complex, multi-site implementations, manages project timelines and budgets, mitigates risk, and ensures alignment with state, federal, and correctional healthcare standards.Project Leadership & DeliveryLead statewide EHR implementation, upgrade, and optimization projects across multiple correctional facilitiesDevelop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocationsCoordinate cross-functional teams including clinical, operational, IT, security, and vendor stakeholdersTrack project milestones, risks, dependencies, and issues; implement mitigation strategiesEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budgetClinical & Operational CollaborationPartner with physicians, nurses, mental health providers, and correctional healthcare staff to align EHR functionality with clinical workflowsFacilitate workflow analysis, process redesign, and change management initiativesEnsure minimal disruption to patient care during system deployments and upgradesCompliance & SecurityEnsure EHR implementations comply with HIPAA, NCCHC, ACA, state DOC requirements, and contractual obligationsCoordinate security reviews, access controls, and audit readiness activitiesSupport data governance, privacy, and reporting requirements in secure correctional environmentsVendor & Stakeholder ManagementManage relationships with EHR vendors, implementation partners, and contracted service providersOversee vendor deliverables, SLAs, and performance metricsServe as the primary point of contact for client leadership and executive stakeholdersTraining, Go-Live & SupportOversee development and execution of end-user training strategiesCoordinate go-live planning, cutover activities, and post-go-live supportEnsure issues are triaged, escalated, and resolved efficientlyReporting & CommunicationProvide regular status updates, dashboards, and executive-level reportingDocument project outcomes, lessons learned, and best practicesSupport continuous improvement initiatives across correctional healthcare technologyRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field (required)5+ years of project management experience in healthcare IT or EHR implementations3+ years managing large-scale, multi-site EHR projectsExperience working in correctional healthcare, public health, Medicaid, or government healthcare environmentsProven experience managing clinical and operational stakeholdersStrong understanding of EHR workflows and clinical documentation processesExperience managing vendors and contracted service providersDemonstrated ability to manage risk, change, and complex dependenciesAbility to travel to correctional facilities as requiredAbility to obtain required security clearance, including background check and drug screeningPreferred QualificationsExperience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similarKnowledge of correctional healthcare standards (NCCHC, ACA)Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certificationExperience supporting statewide or enterprise-level implementationsCore CompetenciesHealthcare Project ManagementCorrectional Healthcare OperationsEHR Implementation & OptimizationRisk & Change ManagementStakeholder & Vendor ManagementRegulatory & Security ComplianceTraining & Go-Live LeadershipExecutive CommunicationCompensation & BenefitsTalantage offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including health insurance options, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
