What We're Looking For:
- 6+ years of state and local or indirect tax experience with strong sales & use tax knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred
- Multi-state experience with property tax and unclaimed property exposure preferred
- SAP S/4HANA and Vertex experience are strong pluses
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own indirect tax with a primary focus on sales & use tax, property tax, and unclaimed property
- Manage outside tax providers and review outsourced filings and deliverables for accuracy and completeness
- Oversee multi-state tax reporting, reconciliations, payments, notices, audits, nexus, and registration requirements
- Support state income tax matters, M&A due diligence, and post-acquisition integration as needed
- Partner cross-functionally with Accounting and other business teams on state tax matters and ERP tax coding
- Identify process improvements and technology solutions to strengthen controls and improve the tax function
