Preschool Assistant
Under the supervision of certificated personnel, assists in the instruction and supervision of students in a preschool setting performing a variety of supportive duties.
Requirements / Qualifications

Under the supervision of certificated personnel, assists in the instruction of students with special needs (i.e. special education, remedial reading, math, etc) performing a variety of supportive duties. High School diploma AND a minimum of 6 units in Early Childhood/Child Development (12 units preferred) with a grade of "C" or better AND one-year experience in a child care/preschool program. Possess a recognized Child Development Permit or Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (or willing to obtain one). Must possess a current and valid California driver license. Outside applicants must provide documentation of AA degree, transcripts showing 48 units from an accredited college or university or Certification of Passage of the Instructional Aide Assessment Exam (offered at Tulare County Office of Education). Required vaccinations: flu, whooping cough, measles and tuberculosis (TB) screening. Applicants selected for employment will be required to submit fingerprinting at their own expense.

The town of Exeter is situated at the base of the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.
