Passionate about policy advocacy, the full-time State Policy Advocate will collaborate with the State Policy and Advocacy Manager to design and implement strategies that support survivors of gender-based violence, analyze relevant legislation, and engage with stakeholders, all in a remote work environment. Key Responsibilities Co-design and implement a policy and advocacy strategy focused on long-term financial security for survivors Analyze state legislation and recommend advocacy opportunities while tracking legislative developments Engage with policy partners and contribute to external communications to advance policy goals Required Qualifications 2 years of experience in policy advocacy or a relevant degree (JD, MPP, or MPA) Ability to analyze and critique policy language and translate complex information for general audiences Experience in relationship management with stakeholders and coalitions Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to FreeFrom's mission and trauma-informed advocacy practices
