To support retail operations, the full-time State Licensed Underwriter III will underwrite various types of loans, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards while working remotely. Key responsibilities Review and evaluate loan documents for accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations Analyze loan applications and supporting documentation to identify potential fraud or misrepresentation Collaborate with Loan Processors and Loan Officers to finalize incomplete loan packages and provide recommendations to borrowers Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; college courses in Business, Finance/Accounting, or related fields preferred Direct Endorsement (DE) certification required, with current certifications for assigned regions Five or more years of experience underwriting conventional, FHA, VA, or Bond Program loans Expert-level knowledge of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
