Assistant State Attorney - 19th Judicial Circuit

The State Attorney's Office of the 19th Judicial Circuit is looking for an assistant state attorney. This position involves representing the State of Florida in criminal proceedings before county and circuit courts. The office is located on the beautiful, historic Treasure Coast of Florida, which includes four counties: Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, and Okeechobee. The circuit is known for its natural spaces, recreational activities, and proximity to major attractions in South and Central Florida.

Applicants should be Florida Bar members in good standing, law school graduates awaiting Florida Bar Exam results, or 3L students from an accredited law school. Typical duties include reviewing cases for felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile prosecution, interacting with victims, police, and witnesses, drafting legal documents, preparing for trials, and attending court hearings.
