Standard Products SupervisorA Standard Products Supervisor at Doble Engineering will be responsible for managing the workflow and overseeing the other members of the department. This role will also develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Additional duties include making recommendations and implementing improvements to wiring processes and methods.

This role is located at Doble's Accident, Maryland facility and reports to the Standard Products Manager.Essential Job Functions:Maintains a safe and clean work environmentDirectly manage a team in Standard ProductsEnsure the quality of workmanshipInstruct, review and guide the team and correct problems and answers questions from team membersProvide training for new employeesEvaluate Staff performance; prepare and conduct employee performance reviewsReviews, drawings, instructions, prints or samples to ensure accurate productionReviews scheduling of department need from production with Manufacturing Manager, production team, and Senior Projects ManagerEnsures production flow by setting daily job priorities within overseen areasOrders required materials for department operationConserves materials by minimizing wasteEnsures all Team Members are working safely and efficientlyPerforms other duties as requested by managementManage employee time sheets, including time off and timecard approvalAssists and participates in lean projects, per production needsAssists with opening new production orders in Business Central (BC) for the team to work onAssists with putting units in stock and closing production orders in BCWorks closely with Standard Products Manager and fills in at meetings when the manager is unavailableQualifications:Education:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAdditional experience in addition to minimum level of educationRequired Experience:4-8 years of experienceIndustrial wiring knowledgeExperience working with electromechanicalLeadership experience within a production environmentPreferred Experience (Not Required):LEAN process knowledgeDevelopment of documented process control, job instructions and standard operating proceduresMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Working knowledge of safety protocolsExcellent written and oral communications skillsOutstanding attention to detailAbility to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced team environmentPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
