Staffing Coordinator
Micone Companies | Reno, NV
Full-Time | Recruiting & Staffing Operations
In-Office with Field & Community Activities
Build Careers. Fill Jobs. Help People Get to Work.
Micone Companies is looking for a motivated, outgoing, and highly organized Staffing Coordinator to join our internal team in Reno.
This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys recruiting and connecting with people. You'll spend your day talking with candidates, sourcing talent, conducting phone screens, coordinating interviews and onboarding, following up with employees, attending recruiting events, and helping our team fill positions quickly and accurately.
Staffing moves fast. Priorities change. Clients call with urgent needs. Candidates need answers. New orders come in.
We're looking for someone who can thrive in that environment while still paying attention to the details.
What You'll Do

* Source candidates for warehouse, manufacturing, production, administrative, and other positions.
* Conduct candidate outreach by phone, text, email, social media, job boards, and other recruiting channels.
* Review resumes and applications.
* Conduct detailed phone screens and candidate interviews.
* Ask effective vetting questions to determine experience, reliability, availability, transportation, schedule flexibility, and overall job fit.
* Match candidates with appropriate opportunities.
* Maintain an active pipeline of qualified, ready-to-work candidates.
Coordinate the Hiring Process
* Present qualified candidates for open positions.
* Coordinate interviews and client submissions.
* Communicate job details, schedules, pay rates, requirements, and expectations clearly.
* Initiate and track onboarding requirements.
* Assist with background checks, drug screenings, documentation, and start coordination.
* Confirm candidates before interviews, orientations, and first-day starts.
* Follow up after placement to support retention.
Candidate Relationships
We don't want candidates to feel like another name in a database.
You'll:
* Maintain consistent communication throughout the hiring process.
* Follow up with candidates who are waiting for opportunities.
* Check in with employees after they start assignments.
* Help resolve questions and concerns.
* Reconnect with past candidates when new opportunities become available.
* Build a personal network of candidates who trust you enough to come back—and refer others.
Recruiting Events & Social Media
* Represent Micone Companies at job fairs and community hiring events.
* Participate in recruiting initiatives throughout Northern Nevada.
* Help recruit through Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other online channels.
* Promote open positions within local groups and candidate networks.
* Develop relationships with community organizations and employment resources.
CRM & Staffing Operations
* Maintain clean and accurate candidate records.
* Document calls, texts, interviews, submissions, and follow-ups.
* Update candidate and job-order stages consistently.
* Maintain accurate availability and Ready-to-Work candidate information.
* Track recruiting activity and results.
* Work closely with Staffing Managers, Recruiters, Sourcers, Operations, and leadership.
What We're Looking For
* 1-2 years of staffing, recruiting, talent acquisition, or related experience preferred.
* Staffing agency experience is a strong plus.
* Experience recruiting through job boards and social media.
* Experience participating in job fairs or recruiting events preferred.
* Strong phone communication skills.
* Ability to conduct effective candidate screens and interviews.
* Excellent follow-up skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple candidates and open positions simultaneously.
* Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-changing environment.
* Ability to shift priorities quickly.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience using an ATS or CRM system.
* Professional, dependable, energetic, and organized.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position means:
* Candidates receive fast and consistent communication.
* Qualified candidates are submitted quickly.
* Starts are confirmed.
* CRM records are accurate.
* Follow-ups actually happen.
* Candidate pipelines continue growing.
* Clients receive qualified people.
* Employees feel supported after they start.
* You can change direction quickly without allowing important details to fall through the cracks.
The Person We're Looking For
You genuinely like people.
You're comfortable picking up the phone.
You aren't afraid to follow up.
You notice details others miss.
You can have 10 things happening at once and still know what needs to happen next.
Most importantly, you understand that staffing isn't simply about filling an opening. You're helping someone find work while helping a business find the people it needs to succeed.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
