Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Systems Engineer/Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on-site in Melbourne, Florida.The candidate will help maintain the engineering model, developing structure and behavior diagrams that describe the system architecture and design. They collaborate with other IPTs to obtain the information and data needed in the model. The candidate should have experience in developing Cameo models and utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.We are looking for innovative thinkers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable with multi-tasking, prioritizing tasks, giving verbal presentations, and self-educating without direct supervision.The candidate must have a firm understanding of traditional systems engineering concepts and methodologies and must be able to apply and adjust these concepts and methodologies to an accelerated process in the early stages of the engineering design.

The candidate must be familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), be able to work within an agile environment, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.Essential Functions:Work with the cross-functional teams to create conceptual data models and data flowsDesign, develop, and document systems that contain logical solutions using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibilityImplement data strategies and developing physical data modelsCoach team members on developing the requirements, architecture, design, and implementation in the modelPerform Systems Requirements analysisManagement of requirements, include decomposition, allocation, verification, and validationBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of relevant experienceExperience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission EngineeringExperience modeling software systems and software system of systemsExperience with Systems engineering tools (i.e. Cameo Suite) and Agile frameworkMust have experience with RNP and RNAV navigation specificationsAble to obtain and maintain DoD Top-Secret clearance (Interim required to start)Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Modeling and SimulationApplied knowledge of aircraft designExperience in the military aerospace development environment is preferredExperience in integrating complex system across multiple domainsExperience demonstrating concepts to management and customersExperience with Cameo Magic Draw or another MBSE tool such as Rhapsody, Sparx EA, and Enterprise ArchitectExperienced developing various DODAF view artifacts, especially Operational and functional viewpoints, using MBSE tools like CAMEOPrimary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
