Job Summary
Supermicro is looking for a Solution Architect to grow and expand the business opportunities of in-house storage solutions from a technical perspective. Your goal is to engage, develop, and expand our customer portfolio in storage system solutions. In this role, you will represent Supermicro at major trade shows and conferences to network, meet with clients, and further develop opportunity pipelines. You will also participate in product and solution design, ensuring new products incorporate customer expectations and requirements to increase business opportunity.
This role will be based at our headquarters in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead development and delivery of Supermicro’s Cloud and AI software solutions
- Architect and optimize cloud-native AI infrastructure for LLM training, inference, and AI application hosting.
- Engage with ecosystem partners (e.g., NVIDIA, VMware, OpenAI, Hugging Face) to enhance software integration.
- Develop and implement AI workload orchestration, automation, and cloud-native model serving infrastructure.
- Define and optimize performance, networking, and storage solutions for AI workloads.
- Provide guidance to technical field teams for cloud and AI software solutions customer engagements.
- Lead development and delivery of sales and technical enablement
- Perform gap analysis of enablement needs for different personas (e.g., sales, technical, internal, customers, partners).
- Design, build, and deliver sales and technical enablement material (documentation, presentations, web contents, diagrams, video) and sessions (live/recorded/gamified) for different personas, audience sizes, and delivery modes (online/onsite).
- Develop and manage a sales and technical enablement web portal.
Manage sizing tools, demo, and POC labs.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing and enablement and/or solutions architecture in cloud computing, AI software, and enterprise IT technologies.
- Proven capability to design, develop, and manage technical enablement material such as documentation, presentations, web contents, diagrams, video, and gamified simulations.
- Proven capability to implement and operate content management systems.
- Proven knowledge of
- Generative AI (LLMs, AI model deployment)
- Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Virtualization (VMware, OpenStack, KVM)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- AI software stacks
- Deep understanding of solution architecture for
- Distributed AI workloads
- AI hardware acceleration (GPUs, TPUs)
- Cloud networking
- Software-defined scale-out storage
- Familiarity with Linux, Python and/or shell scripting, Ansible, and other hardware and software infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
Preferred
- Capability to deliver technical enablement sessions in various formats, such as live, recorded, and gamified, to various audience types and sizes, using onsite or online delivery methods.
- Experience engaging with Tier‑1 telcos, cloud service providers, and enterprise AI adopters.
- Certifications in AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Ansible, Python, or other relevant technologies are a bonus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
