They're looking for a Staff Software Engineer with deep expertise in backend development, distributed systems, and systems programming to help architect and build highly scalable platform services.Responsibilities:Design and build distributed microservices for a large-scale cloud platformOwn services end-to-end, including architecture, development, deployment, scaling, and production reliabilityLead system design and API architecture discussions across multiple engineering teamsDevelop secure, resilient, and high-performance backend servicesWrite production-quality code using Rust or other systems-level programming languagesPartner cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and engineering teams to deliver complex platform capabilitiesMentor engineers and provide technical leadership on architecture, code quality, and engineering best practicesDrive technical direction for foundational platform services and distributed system architectureRequirements:8+ years of backend software engineering experienceStrong experience designing and building distributed systems and microservices from the ground upProven experience owning services throughout the full software development lifecycleStrong programming experience in Rust (or comparable systems languages such as C/C++ or Go)Deep understanding of system design, service architecture, and API designExperience with Kubernetes, containerized applications, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and production deploymentsStrong Linux development and debugging experienceExperience with SQL/NoSQL databases, distributed storage, and caching technologiesPassion for building secure, reliable, and scalable systemsExperience with confidential computing, trusted execution environments, encryption, or security infrastructure is a plusBackground in performance-critical systems, infrastructure platforms, or developer platforms is a plusAdditional Information:Hybrid schedule based in Santa Clara, CAUnable to provide visa sponsorshipOpportunity to work on highly scalable distributed systems and next-generation cloud infrastructure in a hands-on technical leadership role
