Seeking a remote, full-time Staff Software Engineer - Embedded Networking who will extend Airwall technology onto new devices, modernize the technology stack, and manage embedded software for constrained targets while working closely with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Extend Airwall onto new classes of devices and hardware targets Own the embedded software running on constrained targets, including OpenWRT and ARM-based platforms Diagnose networking failures in live customer environments and contribute to core codebases Required qualifications 8+ years of experience shipping production networking software, particularly on embedded or kernel-adjacent systems Deep expertise in C, C++, or Rust, with the ability to work across all three languages Hands-on embedded Linux experience on resource-constrained hardware or OpenWRT Working knowledge of encrypted transport protocols, including IPsec, ESP, and IKE A track record of shipping into environments where downtime carries real consequences
