staff - Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $31-43 per hour

Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Hamtramck, Michigan.

Shift & Compensation

• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour on a staff schedule
• Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus, based on relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides, and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patients for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision‑making activities.
• Manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families, applying independent judgment and collaborating with all team members, including ancillary and support services.
• Leads, partners, collaborates, teaches, and supervises as part of the DMC RN role.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (required).
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan (required).
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
