Staff Real Time Software EngineerTTM Technologies – Aerospace and Defense Sector is seeking a staff of real-time software engineers to support our Radar team located in Farmingdale, New York. This position will focus on supporting the development of the next generation of technologies in radar and surveillance portfolios.Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to issue a Secret Clearance, which includes U.S. Citizenship.The Staff Real Time Software Engineer is responsible for the following areas:Design, develop, and maintain robust and efficient embedded software systems using modern C++, embedded Linux (PetaLinux), and RTOS for safety-critical applicationsSupports the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software that is integrated into embedded systems to meet industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standardsDevelops software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are metDevelop and define architecture, make tradeoffs, and document architectural decisionsProvide analysis of system data (from software perspective); perform timing analysis; perform bus bandwidth analysisFoster a continuous improvement cultureGenerate software requirement specification based on system design specificationsDevelop top-level architecture and detailed designs for software components and systemsDefine and document interfaces between software components and systemsSupport systems verification and validation activities such as: Hardware/Software integration, Design verification testing, Acceptance test procedure, and formal customer-witnessed testingProvide hardware resource utilization estimates & measurementsPresent at customer meeting such as Preliminary design review, Critical design review, and Technical Interchange MeetingGenerate schedule inputs for cost/scheduleEXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/Software Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related discipline and 15+ years related experienceExtensive experience in modern C++ and Real Time Operating SystemsFamiliar with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps – GitLab, Jenkins, Git Bash, Jira, and Artifactory is a plusFamiliarity with HW/SW co-design (drivers, interrupts, DMA, memory/cache strategies)Experience implementing software architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, monolithic, layer architecture)Experience in real-time embedded systemsExperience in object-oriented design methodologyExperience with full SW development life cycleExperience with active electronically scanned arrays (AESA) is a plusMust have excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenCompensation and Benefits:TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:$149,978 - $263,755Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment.
