Job Responsibilities
- Provides psychiatric assessment of adult clients referred to MHOTRS.
- Recommends specific forms of therapy and adjunctive services for clients.
- Prescribes medication for clients when indicated including medications for addiction treatment and maintains appropriate medication records.
- Monitors clients receiving medication treatment at regular intervals.
- Provides appropriate consultation to and collaboration with clinical team members and other supports as indicated.
- Prepares psychiatric reports as part of the client’s records in keeping with agency and regulatory requirements and/or for the purpose of referral to another facility.
- Participates in special case review conferences and participates in the decision to continue or terminate treatment.
- Review and signs treatment plans.
- Leads interdisciplinary team to both provide education about co-occurring disorders and consultation for all Astor staff to support in providing evidence-based care for clients with co-occurring disorders.

Requirements
- Board certified Child Psychiatrist.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
