Position Overview
McLean Hospital, America's top-ranked psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for a staff psychiatrist in the adult ambulatory care setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage a panel of cases for medication management and follow-up, and/or combination treatment including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy, as well as psychopharmacology/medication management.
- Collaborate with a team of licensed psychologists and social workers to triage and screen patients and direct them to appropriate services.
- Teach residents and fellows in collaboration with Harvard Medical School.
- Contribute to the clinical care and educational missions of the Adult Ambulatory service.
Qualifications
- Massachusetts medical license.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in psychiatry.
- Generalist training preferred; subspecialty experience in mood, anxiety, bipolar, personality, or other psychosocial disorders is advantageous.
- Ability to hold a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor, or Assistant Professor (full or part time) is required.

Salary & Benefits
The salary and recruitment package will be in accordance with hospital policies. A Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor, or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications.
