Mission Summary
Motional is seeking a highly technical and results-oriented Product Manager to define, build, and deliver an exceptional fleet operations ecosystem for our internal fleet operations teams. This role demands a deep understanding of software product development, a passion for user-centric design, and a proven track record of shipping complex, customer-facing and operational technical products.
You will be responsible for the product strategy and execution of Motional’s entire fleet operations software tooling. Crucially, you will own Motional’s Command Center application which is responsible for all aspects of fleet management. This is a hands‑on role requiring close collaboration with engineering, strategy and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Overall Fleet Operations Tooling Strategy
- Lead the strategy for unified fleet operations tooling, creating a scalable ecosystem that streamlines vehicle mission management, health monitoring, and customer assistance at every stage of the operational lifecycle.
- Translate insights into clear product requirements and a prioritized backlog that delivers measurable customer and business value.
Command Center Product Ownership

Technical Product Management & Delivery
- Author detailed technical product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams across customer experience and fleet systems.
- Demonstrate a strong bias for action and a proven ability to drive complex technical projects from concept through launch and iteration in an agile environment.
- Partner closely with software engineering (cloud, embedded, mobile), hardware engineering, AI/ML, and QA teams to ensure features are technically sound, built to specification, and delivered on time.
Data-Driven Iteration & Optimization
- Define and meticulously track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer satisfaction, engagement, task success rates, operational efficiency, and overall experience quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, HCI/Human Factors, or relevant technical field
- 5+ years of product management experience with a demonstrable strong technical background, specifically focused on customer-facing software products, operational tools, or complex system integrations.
