Leading the platform and security foundations of Maestro, the full-time Staff Platform Engineer will design and operate a multi-tenant control plane for an AI-powered system, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Own the architecture of the Maestro platform, including design and operation of the control plane and user runtime on private GKE Lead the end-to-end security model, managing identity separation and implementing secure token management practices Oversee fleet operations, ensuring high availability and performance for over 500 pods while driving infrastructure as code and audit capabilities Required qualifications 8+ years of experience in software/infrastructure engineering with a focus on large-scale, security-critical distributed systems Expertise in Kubernetes, including production operators and multi-tenancy, along with strong cloud-native architecture experience on GCP Deep knowledge of applied security engineering, including service mesh mTLS, OAuth 2.0, and zero-trust patterns Proficiency in Go and/or Python with a strong understanding of system architecture and observability practices Experience with production LLM/agent systems and the ability to secure and operate agentic architectures effectively
