We are currently seeking a Staff Physician covering the Infirmary at Western Correctional Institution (WCI) in Cumberland, Maryland.

Monday - Friday Day Shift $25K Sign-on Bonus

Responsibilities

• The Primary Care Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions.
• Participates in organizational initiatives to prevent diseases and injuries in a correctional setting.
• Works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one.
• Board Certified or Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or EM Primary Care.
• Current DEA and CDS registration.
• Correctional Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check.
