Responsibilities
The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations; provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues; provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions; and participates in organizational initiatives to prevent diseases and injuries in a correctional setting. The Primary Care Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or ability to obtain one.
- Board Certified/Eligible in FM/IM/EM Primary Care.
- Current DEA and (CDS) registration.
- Correctional Healthcare experience preferred, not required.
- Ability to pass credentialing and background check.
Compensation
Hourly rate of $125 or more based upon years of experience.
