Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our growing inpatient rehabilitation team in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a patient-focused rehabilitation setting while partnering with an experienced interdisciplinary team dedicated to helping patients regain independence and improve quality of life.

Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital is a 57 bed state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facility providing comprehensive care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, trauma, orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and other complex medical diagnoses. The hospital is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services through a collaborative team approach.

Physician Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient PM&R services and lead rehabilitation treatment plans
  • Manage patients throughout their rehabilitation stay
  • Coordinate care with therapists, nurses, case managers, and consulting physicians
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences
  • Promote quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Eligible for Tennessee medical licensure
  • Current DEA registration or ability to obtain
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation care
