A Pharmacy Staff Pharmacist role is available on a contract-to-hire basis in Wyoming, MI, offering an ongoing part-time schedule. The position requires hands-on involvement in long term care pharmacy operations, including compounding sterile and non-sterile medications, and verifying prepared doses.
Schedule & Hours:
- Mix of day and evening shifts
- Rotating weekends
- Pharmacy operating hours:
- Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday, Sunday & holidays: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Perform full circle long term care pharmacy duties, including PV1 and PV2 activities
- Supervise pharmacy technicians during preparation and dispensing
- Compound and verify sterile (IVs/TPNs) and non-sterile medications
- Manage multi-dose and blister packing processes
- Utilize the Frameworks system for pharmacy operations (experience preferred; training available)
- Current, valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
- Prior long term care pharmacy experience strongly preferred, including PV1 and PV2 responsibilities
- Competency in compounding and verifying sterile and non-sterile preparations
- Experience with supervising pharmacy technicians is a plus
- Familiarity with the Frameworks system highly desirable; willingness to learn if not experienced
