A healthcare facility specializing in pediatric care is seeking a skilled pharmacist to fill a nighttime staff pharmacist role. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert pharmaceutical care during the night shift, covering 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
- Manage inpatient medication orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols.
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and inventory control.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapies, with an emphasis on pediatric needs.
- Prepare for and potentially transition to a day shift covering an FMLA absence starting mid-year.
- Valid Texas pharmacist license.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Proficiency with Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
- Inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably in a pediatric hospital setting.
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Night shift: 7 days on, 7 days off.
- Hours: 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
