Staff Pharmacist - Brooklyn, NY

A retail pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join their team in the Bronx, NY on a contract-to-hire basis for 13 weeks. This role requires immediate availability as the previous pharmacist recently departed, and the manager needs coverage urgently to maintain smooth operations.
Working within a supportive team of three technicians, one delivery person, and the store manager, you will be responsible for checking and verifying prescriptions with a daily volume of approximately 200 prescriptions. This position operates on a 4x10 schedule, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 am to 7 pm, providing a work routine without weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately check and verify prescriptions
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and safety standards
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain workflow efficiency
• Provide exceptional customer service within a retail environment

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold a valid and active New York State Pharmacist license
• Candidates local to the Bronx area preferred for immediate start
• New pharmacist graduates are welcome to apply
• Retail pharmacy experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Experience with BestRx pharmacy system is a plus; training available for the right candidate

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• No weekends
