nAs a PCB Design Engineer at TE Connectivity, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, layout, and documentation of printed circuit boards with a strong emphasis on high-speed digital designs. You will leverage your expertise in Altium Designer, PCB fabrication processes, and technical documentation to deliver high-quality designs that meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. Working within a cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers, you will play a key role in developing next-generation connectivity solutions for datacenters, telecommunications, and advanced electronics platforms.
nYou will act as the subject matter expert for PCB design from concept through production release, ensuring compliance with electrical, mechanical, and industry standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
nJob Requirements
nLead the design, layout, and development of high-speed printed circuit boards using Altium Designer.
nDefine PCB stack-up, routing strategies, and layout rules to ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance.
nGenerate and maintain PCB fabrication and assembly drawings, documentation packages, and bills of materials (BOMs).
nCollaborate with electrical engineers to translate schematics into manufacturable PCB layouts.
nPartner with fabrication and assembly vendors to validate manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of designs.
nPerform design reviews, implement feedback, and ensure adherence to industry standards (IPC, JEDEC, IEEE).
nTroubleshoot design and fabrication issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
nContribute to continuous improvement in PCB design methodologies, tools, and processes.
nRequired Skills/Experience
nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
n8-12 years of professional experience in PCB design, with emphasis on high-speed designs.
nAdvanced proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture, PCB layout, and documentation.
nStrong knowledge of PCB fabrication processes, materials, and design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles.
nExperience with documentation packages (fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, gerbers, ODB++, etc.).
nSolid understanding of high-speed design principles including impedance control, crosstalk, differential pair routing, and return path integrity.
nFamiliarity with signal integrity and power integrity simulation tools.
nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.
nHighly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

nCOMPENSATION
n• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $143,000 – $179,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
n• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
n• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
