What You'll Do

• Deliver patient care incorporating the tenets of Relationship Centered Care.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
• Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans.
• Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching and planning.
• Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
• Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
• Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
• Document nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program. BSN required, ADN acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.

• Relevant clinical competence in assigned nursing practice; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.

• Current RN License in New York State.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
