Staff Nurse - PICU

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient care with a focus on family-centered approach.
• Provide comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
• Demonstrate leadership, perform patient-centered, quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practice duties.
• Support staff education, precept new employees, and act as a mentor to clinical staff.
• Collaborate with provider staff to ensure efficient operations, high-quality care, and excellent customer service using a team approach.
• Utilize informatics and technology systems, including electronic medical records.
• Perform systems-based practice duties and adapt to temporary assignments within the enterprise as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Experience working with various organizational levels; healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems preferred.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or obtained within 5 years.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
