The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care grounded in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
They assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct family-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care across age groups, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
- Demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including precepting new staff.
- Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
- Support provider collaboration, promote efficient operations, and ensure excellent customer service.
- Utilize informatics and technology systems, and adapt to temporary assignments across different units as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or obtaining within 5 years), RN licensure in Ohio, and Basic Life Support certification.
- Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical records (preferred).
