Staff Interventional Radiologist

Northwell Health is seeking a Staff Interventional Radiologist to join its thriving academic radiology department at Lenox Hill Hospital and the new Goldman Pavilion in New York City. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing Interventional Radiology section within one of the nation's largest health systems. The successful candidate will practice full-time interventional radiology, performing a broad range of procedures using state-of-the-art equipment.

Practice Info

• Based at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Goldman Pavilion on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
• The Goldman Pavilion, opening January 2027, will feature two new state-of-the-art interventional suites focused on oncologic interventional radiology along with outpatient consult space.
• Currently, there are four suites at Lenox Hill Hospital.
• Join a system-wide division with 30 interventional radiologists.
• Practice full-time interventional radiology.
• Actively involved in a 17-resident training program.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of IR procedures including angiography, arterial and venous interventions, uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization, thermal ablation, radioembolization, chemoembolization, TIPS, venous access, GU interventions, GI interventions, cholangioscopy, biliary procedures, and vertebroplasty.
• Provide subspecialized interventional radiology services.
• Be actively involved in the 17-resident training program.
• Teach radiology residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Engage in research with funding and dedicated time for qualified investigators.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or foreign equivalent.
• Completion of an IR/DR residency or an IR Fellowship at an ACGME-accredited institution.
• Currently board-eligible or board certified in IR/DR.
• Possess or ability to obtain an unrestricted NYS Medical License.
