Staff Equipment Engineering Technician (Day and Nights)

Maintenance TechnicianThis role is intended for our Essex Junction site Fab 9, a 200mm semiconductor manufacturing facility. As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment and/or processes in the assigned area, while working in partnership with production team members and area engineers. Maintenance Technicians monitor equipment performance, schedule, perform preventative and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment related issues.

including working in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor industry and GlobalFoundries protocol/requirementsAble to wear all required clean room protective clothing and equipment throughout a 12 hour day (excluding breaks)Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift (preventive maintenance) and/or process issuesAble to perform work in a standing position for majority of a 12 hour shift (excluding breaks)Preferred Qualifications8+ years direct experience working in semiconductor manufacturing or in semiconductor tool/equipment/facilities maintenanceStrong technical skills and knowledge of semiconductor processing and process equipmentAble to operate computer and system interface programs to ensure appropriate computing and analysis of production informationAble to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timelinessStrong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed and other duties as assigned;
