We are actively seeking a Staff Engineer II | Water & Wastewater to join our team in our Allentown, PA office and help deliver meaningful infrastructure projects that serve communities.As a Staff Engineer II with HRG, you will work alongside experienced engineers on the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater systems, gaining hands-on experience while building your technical and professional skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to grow in a collaborative and supportive consulting environment.Key Responsibilities:Support the planning and design of water treatment, storage, and distribution systems, as well as wastewater collection and treatment facilitiesPrepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and permit applications for municipal and utility clientsAssist with hydraulic analysis and system modeling using industry-standard engineering softwareParticipate in field work, site visits, inspections, and data collection to support project developmentCollaborate with project managers, senior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projectsAttend and participate in client meetings to support project coordination, communication, and relationship buildingAssist with construction phase services, including cost estimates, submittal reviews, and coordination with contractors and agenciesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related disciplineApproximately 2+ years of consulting or relevant engineering experience, including water distribution and treatment systems, wastewater, collection, conveyance and treatment systems processes, hydraulics, environmental assessmentsEngineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification preferredAcademic or professional experience related to water and wastewater systemsFamiliarity with PA DEP regulations, AutoCAD and common engineering or modeling software preferredStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsEffective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, project management systems, etc.Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight staysValid US Driver's License is requiredLegal authorization to work in the U.S.Join us in driving future business while fostering a culture that values every team member's contribution.
