As an PE for Water Resources, you will have the opportunity to be involved in large, multi-discipline projects that allow the development of a diverse engineering skill set.What are the core responsibilities for the role?Perform a variety of hydrology and hydraulic design work for DOT projects (i.e., bridges, roadways, highways, freeways, etc.)Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projectsWork within a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects.Take ownership of project tasks from start to finishQualifications, Skills, and Competencies:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university4-10+ years of experience in civil design is preferredRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) requiredWillingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other officesPossess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgetsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and managementSelf-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skillsA desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client's overall project goalKnowledge of Microstation, InRoads and/or Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineeringHydraulics and traffic experience is a plusExcellent written and oral communication skillsWhy would a candidate want this job?At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
