As a key contributor on the data science team, the full-time Staff Data Scientist, Insurance Pricing will set the technical direction for homeowners insurance pricing and risk modeling, focusing on complex modeling problems and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Set the technical vision for insurance pricing and risk modeling, establishing best practices across the team Architect and deploy GLM-based models and machine learning models to enhance underwriting accuracy and profitability Lead the integration of non-traditional data sources to inform strategic decisions and drive a culture of experimentation Required qualifications 10+ years of experience in data science, specifically in insurance pricing or risk modeling Expertise in architecting, validating, and deploying GLM-based pricing models in production Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in implementing GLMs and gradient boosting models Experience with cloud-based data platforms and MLOps practices Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field preferred
